It is a known fact that Social Media helps build communities. But there are so many social media tools to choose from, and many entrepreneurs and small business owners do not know how to use the tools to their advantage.
On the flip side, I speak to entrepreneurs all the time who are looking for guidance in setting better goals for their social media campaigns. Some of them are frustrated because they do have over 5,000 fans, but the fans are not being converted into customers. I see it happen all too often. Once you decide what is really important to you (popularity vs targeted leads), a more practical approach to align your goals with your social media tools will yield better results.
There are inherent dangers to allowing dormant subscribers to remain on your email lists over and above distorting returns. It is a fact of email marketing: if they continually fail to open the email, delete or, worse still, mark it as spam it can cause deliverability difficulties.
) Now You need Traffic! You know who you want seeing your ad, now we must make an ad! To do this we are going to set up a PPC campaign, PPC stands for Pay Per Click, Its pretty much paying for temporary ranking on the search engines… Its a form of advertising I highly recommend learning if you are going to do online marketing. You pay every time someone clicks on your ad, so that means you only pay if you get traffic to your site!
You can get free email marketing software, so whether you get free software or you buy the software make sure that it is specialized in the operation that you want it to perform. You can get software that can perform a lot of tasks in the same package, But be careful, check this out because it may not be the best tool that you want for a particular job. The software that performs a lot of tasks can be complicated to use.
If a software company offers you a free trial take them up on there offer and try a few other free trials as well. These trial offers will help you to choose what is the most suitable product for you. Read reviews of different software programs, this will give you a good indication of the suitability of the product and if it is the software product that you want.
This is what I love most about email marketing. You can measure everything. You can determine who received your email, who opened your email, who acted on your offer, who passed your email onto a friend and who opted out of your list. You can’t do that with standard mail and you can’t do that with radio, TV or any other form of advertising.
Getting subscribers to your email lists isn’t the be all and end all of email marketing. A dormant subscriber is of no use to anyone. It takes little effort to target them and to give yourself a chance of turning them active.
